Version 1.0 — Effective May 9, 2026
DRAFT — pending lawyer review. This document is a v1 draft prepared for the ProxChart closed beta. It is intended to be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before public Chrome Web Store launch.
This Privacy Policy describes how Jacob Denbrock, doing business as ProxChart ("ProxChart," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you in connection with the ProxChart Chrome extension and proxchart.live website (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We try to collect as little as possible. Specifically:
The longer version follows.
Email address — collected when you sign up for the waitlist at proxchart.live/waitlist. This is the only place we collect your email.
Username — chosen by you in the extension. This is shown to other users in your voice rooms. We retain a history of your last five usernames to allow quick switching.
Invite code — issued to you by us via email. We track which code was issued to which email address.
Voice audio — transmitted live to other users in your room when you choose to "Speak." We do not record this audio by default. See Section 4 for limited exceptions.
Reactions and acceptance records — emoji reactions you fire and your timestamped acceptance of our Terms, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.
Reports — if you submit a moderation report, we collect the report content, the reported user, and the room ID.
Presence data — when you open TradingView and use the extension, we record:
IP address — we record your IP address at the time of acceptance gate completion (for legal proof of consent) and when you connect to LiveKit voice (because WebRTC requires IP exchange to route audio). Other users in your voice room can technically see your IP address through standard WebRTC mechanics. This is a property of all WebRTC-based voice products and not something we can disable. If your IP privacy is critical, use a VPN.
Device and browser metadata — user agent string and browser version, captured at acceptance gate completion.
Activity timestamps — last input time, used to enforce idle timeouts described in our Terms.
The extension uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to remember:
This data lives on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except through normal Service operation.
The proxchart.live website may use cookies for basic functionality and analytics. See Section 9.
We use information to:
ProxChart does not record voice conversations by default. Voice audio passes through LiveKit's servers as it is transmitted between users, but we do not store it.
Limited recording exceptions:
Other users in your voice room may record their conversations with their own tools. We cannot prevent this and are not responsible for it. Section 6 of the Terms covers this in more detail. Speak as if you are being recorded.
We share information only as follows:
Other users in your voice room can hear your audio (when you're a Speaker), see your username, see whether you're speaking (a boolean flag), and have your IP address visible at the WebRTC layer (a property of the protocol, not our choice).
We rely on third parties to operate the Service. They process information on our behalf:
| Provider | What they handle |
|---|---|
| LiveKit Cloud | Real-time audio transmission, room participant lists |
| Google Firebase | Database (presence, invites, agreements, reports), authentication |
| Vercel | Token minting, hosting of /api endpoints |
| Netlify | Hosting of proxchart.live website |
| (Future) Stripe | Payment processing for premium tier (v1.1+) |
These providers have their own privacy policies and may collect data per their own practices. We use them under data processing agreements where applicable.
We may share information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by:
When legally permitted, we will attempt to notify you before disclosing.

We may share aggregated, anonymized statistics (e.g., "average daily active users," "top tickers by voice activity") publicly or with partners. This data does not identify any individual user.
ProxChart does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
